The online A.S. Biblical Foundations program consists of 62-63 total credit hours, with 20-21 credit hours dedicated to general education courses, 27 credit hours dedicated to Biblical Foundations courses, nine credit hours of Biblical Studies elective courses and six hours of free elective courses.
The General Education component of undergraduate degrees provides the student with a basic understanding of a broad range of subjects. This supports the liberal arts emphasis of the University’s academic mission.
Students will take the following courses:
- CHS 111: Introduction to Old Testament Study
- CHS 121: Introduction to New Testament Study
- CHS 130: Christ and Culture
- CHS 211: The Art of Reading the Bible
- CHS 230: Spiritual Formation
- CHS 312: Studies in Old Testament Prophets
- CHS 323: Studies in the Gospels
- CHS 324: Studies in Paul
- CHS 411: Studies in the Pentateuch
Students will choose three of the following elective courses.
- CHS 352: Pastoral Ministries
- CHS 353: Ministry of Proclamation
- CHS 354: Introduction to Christian Evangelism
- CHS 355: Introduction to Pastoral Care and Counseling
- CHS 356: Ministry of Christian Leadership
- CHS 361: Introduction to Educational Ministries
- CHS 432: Christian Theology
Students must take courses totaling six credit hours to complete the 62-63 credit hours required for this associate degree.
Admissions Requirements
To apply to Campbellsville University’s online Associate of Science in Biblical Foundations program, prospective students must submit the following:
- Online application
- An official copy of your high school transcript with a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- If requesting transfer credits, submit official copies of transcripts from each college or university previously or currently attended, showing a minimum 2.0 GPA. A complete record of all courses attempted must also be included.
Costs & Financial Aid
